I was wondering if anyone had good summer drink recipes that could be made in a large batch ahead of time. I'm referring to drinks with alcohol.

We are hosting several large gatherings, and I would like to have another option besides beer.

Please share if you have any summer drinks you enjoy. Thanks!

Pink Panty Droppers :) You can change the name;) Very easy and very good.

You must use PBR. And there is a smaller version at the bottom.

This makes a great fizzy pink lemonade. It's definitely one of my must have summer staples. If it's hot, you're low on cash, and want to have a lot of fun, this is the answer! It makes just shy of 5 gallons, so it can serve a TON of people. Each drink packs a heavy whallop to your head, so you really don't need much per person. Enjoy!

Servings: 5 Gallons

Ingredients24 Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer
1/2 Gallon Premium Vodka
4 Cans Pink Lemonade Concentrate
Ice

PreparationYou want to start with a CLEAN 5 gallon bucket. You can use a punchbowl or something like that as well, just make sure it's big enough.

You basically just mix all the ingredients together, but the best way to do this is by mixing the frozen pink lemonade concentrate with the vodka first. That way you won't kill all of the carbonation in the beer.

Note: If you want the lemonade to be extra sweet, add a fifth can of concentrate to the mix.

Then pour in all the beer. You will get a LOT of head from all that beer. It's rather unavoidable, but it will go down after a while. Also, don't be concerned about the beer going flat as the day goes on. You won't even be able to notice it.

The main point in using Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) is not because it's cheap, (although that is always a good thing in my book!) but because it's a very watery beer. You don't want to use an expensive beer that has flavor. That would make the lemonade taste bad. You could use other cheap watery beers as well, like Natural Ice for example, and it would still come out great.

Toss some ice in a glass and drink responsibly!

A smaller version of this recipe is:

One standard bottle of Vodka
12 pk of Pabst Blue Ribbon
2 Pink Lemonade Frozen Juice Concentrate

Skip and Go Naked

1 large can frozen lemonade concentrate
when mixing the lemonade use vodka in place of 1 of the cans of water then add 2 cans of water for a total of 3 (1 vodka/2 water)
3 bottles of beer

Chill
Serve over ice with a lime twist and a sprig of mint!

I LOVE Arbor Mist Sangria in a pitcher with cut up chunks of oranges, apples and whatever else I throw in there, if you let it sit overnight the fruit is very yummy the next day.

I also hear that the Arizona Arnold Palmer mix is really good when mixed with vodka. I've seen it sold at Dollar Tree lately.

This Sangria recipe is always a huge hit and it's better if you make it ahead.

Ingredients
2 bottles red wine (cheap wine)
1 1/2 cup brandy
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)

Orange slices
Apple slices
Blackberries
Pomegranate seeds
whatever fruit you want (not bananas)

Directions
Mix the syrup, the brandy and the fruit together and let stand in a tightly sealed container or pitcher for at least 6 hours in the refrigerator. Add the wine and juice and let sit in the refrigerator for another 12-18 hours.

You can also make White Sangria, just substitute white wine, gin and a sqeezed lemon for the red wine, brandy and orange juice.

We're off to Jimmy Buffett tomorrow night, and one of our fellow party goers is making a BIG batch of Skippy! YUM

Diet half & half drink mixer (not the coffee half & half)
Diet cranberry juice
Vodka to taste

We call this "Summer Drink"....swear to God.

You can also used cran/raspberry, cran/grape etc. but you should have some cranberry in there because it needs a bit of tartness.

Half Tanqueray Gin and half Absolut Vodka makes a killer martini!

I have a recipe for trash can rum punch that will knock you on your heiney. I have to find it though, so if you're interested, let me know and I'll look. It ain't cheap to make, but it goes really far. I got it down to where it made about 3 gallons or so.

Gotta be careful with it though. I almost never get hangovers and that punch gave me a DOOZY for almost 2 days.
