Yes Ryan's is open in Sandusky. I did notice a sign out front that they were offering a lunch deal Mon - Fri for $4.99.
Hey I know you mentioned in another thread about what you had planned to do for breakfast and I wanted to let you know the restaurant right off of the lobby -not sure of the name-has very reasonable prices for breakfast. They had bananna stuffed pancakes for $6.99. An egg dish with hashbrown and a meat for $8.99. Hot oatmeal for $3.99.
Oh and the price for a 20" pizza is $32.00! Not that is not a mistake $32 for a pizza OMG!
I looked at the bakery and they do indeed have Krispy Cream donuts, muffins, yogurt, cut up fruit bowls.
We got a good rate on a king lodge suite which had a full kitchen so we stopped at Meijers and got a few frozen meals and cooked them in the microwave. Picked up a medium size fruit bowl for $3.00.
Don't be worried at all about bring food in. I saw the bell hops carting cases of pop/ water and other foods items to guest rooms. Plus how can you ban outside food if some of your suites have full kitchens with a stove, microwave and full size fridge.
The only thing we did not like was how the animals in the outside pet zoo where treated! I watched a worked, who was a young girl in her early teens, beating a horse for no reason. The horse had been tired up to the fench next to another horse and both were just standing there doing nothing. Well she unleashed the smaller horse who then walked into another pen area. Then she unleashed the other horse and started whipping it with the end of the rope! She then yanked the horses head close to her body and then began hitting it some more! I was appalled by what I had seen. She yanked on it tail. By the time I got my camera to video tape her, she had left. But leaf the lead line on the horse and the horse kept stepping on it. THEN it started to run and the lead line got wrapped around the horses leg! My DH called the front desk to report it and he was told they don't work for Kalahari they are an outside company that owns and takes care of the animal. Well when he told her what was going on the girl put him on hold and I then saw 2 workers run out and check on the horse and they removed the lead line. I felt so sorry for the poor thing.
Anyway hope have a good time. We did it was not crowded at all. We have gone there in the past and there were so many people it was hard to find a chair to put your stuff on. This time there were many many many tables and chairs to chose from.
