It seems like Boise is just not that well traveled as a hub as far as I can tell. We have Alaska Air miles (which, btw, have crappy routes through BOI). They do partner with Delta and American, which aren't too bad. We have 2 RT flights worth of miles on Alaska Air and a companion code for $100, so it shouldn't be too bad. We need 5 tickets though
We aren't traveling until Thanksgiving 2014, so I have a while. We will be getting APs though and I'd like to make a trip in the middle of 2015 sometime, and then we will go again Nov. 2015.
I was thinking of doing the Southwest credit card offers and trying to get the companion pass. Southwest's routes through Boise aren't bad.
Do you guys have any tips? Allegiant doesn't go through Boise to MCO, and Jet Blue doesn't either. Closest airport is 6 hours away (SLC) at which point I think the price would be negated by the cost of gas (have a Tahoe that gets 14mpg or so). I'm willing to do that if it saves a bunch though.
