This looks like just what I've been in search of since the stroller I drove into the ground when DD #3 was a toddler, 2001. I had it since my oldest DD (now 13) was a toddler... it was a Baby Trend, I have no idea of the model name. It was the most obnoxuos print, royal blue with splashes of other bright colors all over it. However, it was by far the best stroller ever. It was umbrella-styled, reclined, had a removable hood, the handles were at a very good height, and the suspension was fantastic! I got it so cheaply at the Baby Depot. I expected it would be my "convenience stroller." It ended up being my primary for 5 + years, with 3 different kids! Can you tell how much I loved this stroller...??? I cried the day the wheels came flying off in the mall parking lot! I wanted someone to fix it for me, but there was really too much wear-n-tear, it was beyond repair!

Since that day I have had no less than 5 different strollers, inexpensive and pricey, but I can't find one I like.

The Graco Mosaic is styled very much like my old faithful, but I'd like to get some feedback. Can anyone comment?

My review: yuck The handles are short and it turns poorly.

My maclaren is the tried-and-true convenience stroller.

Graco Mosaic

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are heading to Disney in May 06 with our 22-month-old son. We had a hard time finding an umbrella-type stroller with tall enough handles (I am 5'9" and my husband is 6'1"). We bought the Graco Mosaic at Target. It has tall handles, wasn't too pricey, and has a large and easily accessible underseat basket. However, the model at Target isn't the newest which has 2 mesh pockets attached to the seat for sippy cup and other stuff. We have been using it around the neighborhood and like it. Only drawback to us is that it only comes in black or dark blue - might get hot in the Orlando sun!

---------------------------------------------------------------

Plus, we just took it the local zoo over the weekend for a test run and my opinion is that it is certainly worth the money. Pros - handles are certainly in the higher than most category, didn't feel tipsy at all and turned fine, DS seemed comfortable, DS loves the crossbar to put his arms on and footrest was perfect for him. Cons - Our normal diaper bag (large messenger/breifcase type bag) barely fit - but we'll have to see how the new sling bag fits, folding up is a little stiff (hopefully because it is still new - locking wheels are still very stiff too), would be nice to have the mesh pockets for DS. Also, I didn't have this problem at all but DW said that she often kicked the wheels. Suspension was just average...nothing special.

Also, 6'1" is a little off (not sure who she might be thinking of :confused3 )...maybe 5' 11 1/2" on a good day.

I have been in the same situation as you. I have pruchased to many strollers that were cheap and wasn't what I was looking for. Dh and I are tall and when I found the Mosaic I knoew it is what I needed for our trip in July. I will be purchasing it soon and know I will love it.
