Just a slight correction, the Windows emulator software is called Virtual PC, and you can purchase a version that includes the Windows OS (either 2000 PRo or XP). One caveat about it, though - if you're going to run anything heavy duty (a CAD program, for instance), it will run pretty slowly. For most basic programs, though, it works great.
I work at the Apple Store part time and the three overwhelming reasons I give to people looking to switch are:
1. Reliability
2. Virus protection (there has never been a successful virus propogated for the Mac)
3. Spyware (no spyware exists for the Mac)
I've been a Mac user for many years and own a 20-inch iMac and a brand new 12-inch iBook, both of which I love!
As an employee, I'm technically not supposed to comment on such things in a public forum, but feel free to PM me.
