Anyone have a wet/dry vac they use on hard floors?

My whole house has hard floors, which I used to mop on my hands and knees, but with two dogs, now it is too much to that often.

I'm looking for an upright wet vac type thing that works on hard floors. Anyone have any recs??

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and 2 kids with all wood /tile floors. I have to vac every day and I have tried all different kinds of vacs. I now use a standard shop vac that has alot of power and it does not matter what the heck I suck up (pet hair, crayons small children lol j/k). Then I use my Bissell Flip It to wash the floors about once or twice a week. I love that thing!!

I LOVE my new Hoover Floormate! It works like a charm! I have Pergo all downstairs and it cleans it so well! And doesn't leave the floor tacky or sticky afterwards. HIGHLY recommend!

I dry mop/sweep or use a regular vacuum on my hardwood to suck up pet hair etc.

But to wash the floor I use a wet vac by Hoover. I can't remember the name. It works pretty well and by staying over the same spot for a bit it will even wash up sticky dried popsicle spots. I like it because its light and not cumbersome.

Its not so good at picking up dry stuff, dog hair etc, but when using it as a wet vac it will suck up dog hair that you missed sweeping and so far mine is held up pretty well. I had 2 dogs up until a few weeks ago, and one was a long hair dog.

edit to add: I just saw that the above poster uses the same one, its a floormate! I got it for xmas 2 years ago I think.
