If so, how old are your children, and do they use it??

My son is 3 and he plays it about 4 times a week for about an hour at a stretch. He LOVES it.

I cannot find the Blues Clues game for it. Anyone else?

My daughter has one -- she got hers for Christmas last year when she was 4 1/2. She absolutely loves it! She already has 3 games for it on her Christmas list for this year.

So maybe i'm a little behind. Can someone tell me exactly what it does?? I know it's educational, but how does it work??

My daughter got it for Christmas last year at age 4. She LOVES it. She is a major "gamer" like her daddy though. She will be getting the hand held version this year, along with several more games.

It's a very easy video game with a joy stick and a few buttons. 5 yr old ds plugs it in and starts it on his own. I don't even think it comes with directions, my kind of game, LOL.

They're mostly alphabet and number games with a character and a few options like a greater or lesser than game with grocery shopping, jumping onto numbered posts sticking out of the water in the right sequence, catching a floating letter that the word "balloon" starts with, etc.

DS is not a tv/video game kid, so he only plays it once in a while. If he had some new games, he'd probably be more interested in it, so I'll probably pick up one or two for Christmas.

The company is very good. My nephew's controller went bad and they replaced the whole game with no receipt and no questions.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info guys!! I think Santa might need to throw one of those in his sleigh for my DS3!!!!

My Inlaws have talked about buying one for our DDs who are amost 6 and almost 4. They talked about it last year and we discouraged it because we felt like between the PlayStation2 (for which they have games they play) and their computer and movies they had enough sedentary activity. They brought it up again and I still feel that way - am I missing the boat here? I would love any feedback...

my dd's got it last yr when they were 5. One loves it, the other has no patience for any games. I agree this company is great! I'm about to mail out the unit because it died and they're replacing it free. I was suppossed to mail it out last June but had surgery, this is the first chance I've had to get it out. I called and they sent me a new ref #, no problems, no questions, didn't even have to produce a reciept since it was a gift!

This was 1 of Santas gifts last year for our 2 who are 3 & 4 - both like to play and the older 1 definitely gets into it more. We will be adding to the game pile this year. We like this better than PS, GC, etc. because the control is more toddler/child friendly and all games have some educational value. It seems the other systems are geared more towards older children with very limited amount of games for younger children in our opinion. We do also have the gamecube and our kids probably split there time between the 2 systems.

We have the InteracTV by Fisher Price, and DD (4) has played all the games so many times that she has memorized the answers. I would like to see that game expanded.

We have hundreds of computer games and dozens of PS1/2 games. The PS2 is a little difficult for our DD4 to work.

But I agree about the sedentary lifestyle children are learning by these games. I have them involved in team sports, and as long as the weather is pretty outside, I try to get them out to do that kind of stuff.

When are we as parents going to start demanding more out of our game makers?
