We're staying there (two of us) first week of May and I'd like a quick review of some things to see and do there so I know to try, where to sit down and soak in the sun and drink, etc.

I've stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, and by comparison, I think the Villages offers more amenities per room, i'm not sure about the pools and bar though. But someone I'm sure can give me a straight up answer. THanks in advance DIS!

Would love to know if anyone has any recent reviews as well as we'll be checking in next week.

My family and I just got back from VV, and it was great. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit in the Gardens(or Floridan Village section) and the room we had was newly refurbished. The unit had 3 TVs, stackable washer and dryer, full kitchen, and our balcony overlooked one of the duck ponds. We spent most of the time at the St Augustine pool which has the Pirate ship with water slides for young kids (even though I went down it several times myself with DS 3 and DD5). It also has afairly large green waterslide which my DW, DD, and myself really liked. The pool was at the opposite end of the resort from where our room was, but it was still easy to walk back and forth. There is a marketplace there, a restaurant (we did not use either), basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and there are activities going on constantly. I did not try the wi-fi so I cannot comment on that. The main pool has a waterfall feature, as well as a splash pad area for little kids, but my kids liked the pool with the pirate ship the best. There are gas grills throughout the resort, and we did use those a few times. The location is in between WDW and Sea World, and there is a Publix and Walgreens close by, not to mention the outlet malls.

Take care and have a great trip.
