I have heard some talk of some people being told they had a pin code attached to their name, but couldn't find out what it was until 10/1. I am dying to know what the new pin codes are for - if you are one of the lucky ones, spill the beans! :teeth:

What are pin codes???

It is a discount known only by CRO - for select individuals - and for no rhyme or reason (at least no known be me - maybe known by Disney marketing). You have to call CRO and ask if there are any special discounts/pin codes attached to your name - that is the only way to find out (as far as I know!)

we used to get postcards a couple of times a year with deals to a specific resort. Although for the last few years we stopped getting them. Disney told us they are just putting them attached to our phone number so that we can call in & get it.

wish they'd go back to sending out more postcards or atleast email it. I would go back alot more often if I knew of something "special"

I had one attached to my name for my Oct. 14th reservation. It was for $84 a night at Pop. I passed and kept my $79 a night at Pop-AP rate. I didn't ask anything about it as I was not interested in it. I've been an AP holder for 10+ years and renew every year, so unless there is not an AP discount, I don't really see it helping me save money. BTW, I didn't ask the CM if I had one, she offered the information to me after pulling up my account.

When I booked for last May, I was told I had a pin code, but the CRO said nothing this time, is it one time only? Should I call back and ask if it is still there?

Hello EVeryone! I am kinda new to all the codes and pin codes. We have been to Disney about 4 or 5 times but have never stayed on property. Could we possibly have a pin code attached to our names if we have never stayed on property before? We are thinking about going in January and want to stay on Disney property and of course would like to save as much as possible. Thanks everyone for your help. :)

Hey Dazzled - I see you are from MD - me too! Where are you? We live in Westminster. Go Ravens! :woohoo: As far as the codes - go ahead & call - doesn't hurt - that's what I plan on doing a little later today. Good Luck! :wizard:

I called this morning and no pin for me. I went ahead and made a reservation for 1/27 - 2/3 and got talked into tickets also. I really didn't want to book a package (mostly due to payment policy) so I may have to call back and change that. The cm that I spoke with said that discounts (and he stressed "if any" and would likely be package and not room only) wouldn't be released until 45-90 days before. We'll see.

not one for me

I did get asked to take a survey. Anyone else ever take one?

Yes. I was changing a reservation and was asked. I was very happy to participate. I had the nicest person help me with my changes and was happy to give him the highest score straight down the line.

Sometimes I think there are not enough praises for people that do good. This was a great opportunity to do just that.

Hello Spoisal! We are in Frederick, MD. Go Skins! :woohoo: Sorry Spoisal my husband has the kids brainwashed. I really don't care one way or the other. I just got the okay from my husband yesterday to try to plan this trip. I am looking to go Jan 20- 27th.

Does anyone know if anythingis going on at that time JAn20-27th?

Does anyone know if Disney honors your pin code if you are booking through a TA or must you book through CRO to take advantage of the pin code (assuming that a pin code is attached to your name)?

I called today too book my room & was told my pin code is not effective until 10/10---now I wait 8 more days-- :hourglass ---hope it's worth it.

I realize there's no rhyme or reason as to who gets assigned a PIN code to their name - but I know for sure how I got mine - I have had a few WDW trips onsite over the past 6 years, but never once got a PIN, email or postcard. We signed up for Disney VISA about 2 years ago - and we have a separate email set up ONLY for bills, one of which is the Disney VISA. THAT email address is where I got 2 PIN code emails this year - so that proves that they got my name from having a Disney VISA card. I always give CRO my personal email, and have never received a PIN code offer to that address!
