I am trying to read all the updates and there are tons so I just figured I would just ask the one question.

What is property, rides etc are damaged at Disney???

Thanks

Kim

The only major damage was really only some cosmetic damage to the Cirque du Soleil tent.

Some minor landscaping things about the property. A few twisted and downed signs and trees.

I still haven't heard the definative answer as to why Typhoon Lagoon remains closed until Monday? That is probably more than just a debris problem.

I know one of the water parks on I-world drive reported losing, as in they don't know where it went, a slide.

If I had to speculate, I would say that Disney would just rather use the CMs from both water parks to fully staff one WP rather than partially staff two. But I'd like to know if there is a better answer out there.

Wow, amazing there wasn't more damage.

Glad to hear everyone was OK.

Just got back in town after a wild trip to WDW.

There are hundreds and hundreds (probably thousands) of trees down in WDW and the surrounding area. The sustained winds were (I'm guessing) between 75 and 95 mph.

Some lesser attractions, and parks (AK and TL) were closed.

I think most of the problems WDW had was getting CMs to work. For example, we tried to get a seat at the Garden Grille Saturday night, and were told they were taking no walkups. However, the kind CM did find a 'PS cancellation' that we were able to use. When we were seated, we realized about 30-40% of the tables were empty.

All in all, WDW did a fantastic job to handle the situation. In fact, we found it was the only place in the area that seemed civil. On the outside, the gas, restaurant and grocery lines were long and irritable. People were generally idiots and it was nice to escape inside the parks.

I posted a picture of the Cirque building. As SnackyStacky said it was all cosmetic damage, so the Cirque shows are still going on, but as far as property damage, that is the most that I have seen around WDW and it really isn't that bad when you consider all that was was a giant canvas sail.

LOL a Really Bad Egg nailed that one on the head. We live locally (and are CM's) and we drove all the way to the Car Care Center at the TTC just to get gas. The gas lines around town are HORRIBLE (20-30 cars waiting in line) and then there are a lot of stations that have no gas... we called the car car center and they told us that they had gas so we drove over there and were able to pull right up to the pump...NO line :) We were very excited because it is a mess at the stores off property.

Mouseplanet reports that Test Track lost it's awning as well....anyone know the extent of the damage to it? Just wondering if it is completly gone or what?

The Grand Floridian and the Wedding Pavilion also were damaged. There are pictures and more discussions on the Rumour & News Board.
