Dh and I are debating if we will be planning another disney trip in the next year.

I was wondering if anyone happens to know historically when discounts come out (I know that they are never guarenteed) but is there a site or has someone tracked what months or seasons there seem to always be a discount? And if so what the discounts have been?

I already checked out mousesavers and didn't see anything.

Please help me convince my DH to plan our next trip.

TIA!!

I have booked our 1st WDW trip for next April 24th thru May 4th. I have already purchased the AP's and I'm sure hoping for the discounts. I was told to watch for them anytime from the end of Jan. to sometime in Feb. We're staying 10 nights and it wasn't going to cost much less to do the length of stay pass, plus with the AP you can get discounts at many WDW restaurants and at the DTD store and many other disc.'s on boat rentals, Cirque, etc. So I felt it was worth it even if we do not get the room discounts. (but from what I heard you almost always get the discounts.)
Also, I wanted to tell you that my DH was not really interested in going to WDW next year, however, I booked it behind his back! I have most of the trip paid for incl. the airfare, and he has nooo idea. I will present this to him as this years Christmas gift and also my 25th Anniv. gift to him. Once he opens this gift and see's it is "Paid-in-full"...I have no doubt he will be quite pleased!!
:bounce: And...since we will have the AP's I have decided I'm going to book a 4 or 5 night stay early next Dec. so we can get to see the World at Christmas!
Good luck in convincing your DH to go next year...if you can, why not do like I did?...Surprise him  !!!!! In any case, fingers crossed you get to go next year one way or another!;)

I just noticed you have spent your HM at the World this past April /May. How was it that time of year? Were the crowds bad? How about the heat and humidity? I don't mind a little heat but when it gets humid the DH gets miserable:earseek: I hope I planned this just right!!!!
Thanks, Cindi

Can't suprise him - it would be right after his finishes taking the bar and while I would love to he would kill me!

The weather was perfect it rained maybe one evening but didn't affect us at all. Rained for 15 mins while we were at MGM otherwise - it was GORGEOUS all week. Temps in the low to mid 80's warm but NOT in any way uncomfortable not too humid just perfect - nights were warm to cool - upper 60's to mid 70's. The weather was absolutely perfect!

Crowds we were spoiled because we were there last in January - but we found them to be totally manageable. We did use more of the fastpass but we got to easily do everything that we wanted. Make your PS's in advance we did and tried to change some about 40 days before (then again at 30 day mark when we found that Bistro de paris had a private party so we had to rearrange out PS days) we found some places had NO PS times left!!!! But it didn;t seem that bad. We took advantage of the single rider lines which helped as well.

I knew about the AP room discounts but did not know that you get discounts in restaurants etc - is there a link for that info?

There are a few places you can find info about the AP discounts. Here is one on Mousesavers http://www.mousesavers.com/faq.html#codetrends
I hope this helps. If this link doesn't work just go into Mousesavers and look for discounts and you'll find all the info there.
By the way, I was worried at 1st my DH would want to kill me too! But after being married to him almost 25 yrs I know him enough that when he sees it's Paid for I know he'll be fine. His biggest gripe about going to WDW is always that he can't see paying $5000 to go to a big amusement park! He has never been to WDW, I was (in 2000) and he really has no idea what he's talking about. I am the one that never goes to amusement parks because I have always hated thrill rides and would always be the one standing by herself holding everyone's stuff while they rode the rides. We live 40 min from Hershey Park and have only been there once since 1980. He is however the biggest 45 yr old child you'll ever meet! So I know my DH will have a blast at WDW!!!
Glad to hear that the weather was Great! Also that the crowds were decent! Thanks:)
