Anyone have a Land's End or LL Bean medium duffle for the child?

I was thinking of getting the medium size duffles for each of my boys (7 and almost 4) for our trip. I'm having a hard time envisioning how big they are. Are they large enough to handle like 3-4 days of clothes for a kid? We'll do laundry while there. Are they too large for a child to handle themselves? I want to make sure they aren't too big to be considered carry-on luggage.

I see lots of people saying they use the small duffle as a gym bag, but I would think they'd need something larger than that.

Or do you have any advice of another travel bag you like for the kids?

Thanks!

We actually just bought each of our girls one of LLBean's medium sized duffles about a month ago. They should fit 3-4 days worth of summer clothes without a problem. They aren't enormous, but depending on how much you stuff in them they might be too cumbersome for a little one to carry by him/herself. Now that we have the mediums, I can see where the small would be way too small for much more than an overnight bag. The large would be much too big for a young child/tween (IMO). Great quality though. We couldn't be happier. Make sure you look for a free shipping code on retailmenot. They always have one for LL Bean.
