Does anyone know if there is a picture I can download that has the DIS design, and possibly fall decorations? When we went at Christmas a couple years ago, someone had a file we could download that had a Mickey head, with the DIS lettering and a little Christmas hat- I'm trying to find something like that so I can make a sign to post at our campsite

ok- I can't figure out how to delete this thread, but I did find something :)

I used Ed's campsite marker posted above for mine. What did you find?

I'm not sure what Ed's posted above is- I don't see it - but what I did was google lime green mickey head, and it gave me tons- I found the one with the musket mickey that I've seen so much, so I saved that one , and managed to edit it on my laptop to have Serenitygr on it. Tomorrow morning before we leave I'm going to run into the printing shop and see if they can enlarge it and laminate it for me :) I'm too excited to sleep here tonight! It's almost 1am, and here I am checking the DISboard LOL See some of you soon!

Opening page of the camping forum, very first post. Entitled "Here is a campsite marker for DIS members". First post on the thread has the picture and you can right click and "save as". Then I just opened it with microsoft paint and put in the text.

Also, in that same thread is the link to get the Disney font for the lettering.

And here is one more example of why I should not be allowed near computers :rolleyes::rolleyes:
Seriously though- today is the day! 12 hours from now we'll be at the motel by the airport, and 24 hours from now we'll be on our plane heading that way! :dogdance: Now if Bama Ed can just tell me how he posted that picture..... :rolleyes1

So you kicking off the Live October 2015 trip report? :worship:

I know we have the "Upload a File" button that can do pictures (sometimes) but they're sort of like Instagram - once you upload it, it's gone. Never to be reused or reposted-it would have to be found and uploaded again. That's why I still prefer the photobucket method. I can go back to it.

Upload your picture to photobucket (android app, cable via pc, however). Copy the IMG link for the picture and paste it AS IS into a post. I create one folder in photobucket for each trip to keep things organized.

People stuck at home like me LOVE lots of pictures....

Bama Ed

When you go to respond to a thread, click the "Upload a File" button in the lower right (and follow the prompts). I am using FireFox and this is what it looks like for me.

Not entirely true. You can go back to the original post where it was and Right click on the image and then save it locally if necessary.

Keeping your images on Photobucket is much like keeping them on your local computer, except it's not "Local". It is convenient in that you don't have to worry about losing them (hopefully), however, I cannot view Photobucket images as it's blocked on this computer. My photos I keep on a USB drive so I usually have them with me so it's an easy upload anyway. Whatever works for you though, go with it.

You're probably right.

However, if I had to try to find a past post with a specific picture in order to use that picture again, I'd be in trouble. :crazy2: I have a better chance of finding things in my semi-organized PB folders.

Bama Ed

PS - and I agree that whatever system works for you is the system to use. Here's betting serenitygr will come up with her own technique...

I use PB and "upload a file". I use the Upload a file for like my avatar and signature pics. Other things like a monthly movie schedule, things that you won't post again because they will change.

Like Ed, I use PB for trip reports and animal pics. I made an attempt to better organize my pics on PB and now a lot of my pics from past reports are messed up and I'm having to go back and reset picture links.
