My little DGS is 6 months old and loves to bounce when you're holding him. Back when my kiddos were little, we used a Johnny Jumpup, but in our newer home, we don't have any wide doorways with molding to use one. I have a lead on a used FP Jumperoo, but wasn't sure how much it would be used. He's already almost 19 pounds, but not close to 32". This is a baby who loves/needs to be on the go(just like his father, go figure!) and since I'm babysitting more, I was hoping to find something that would entertain him for a while. He's been holding up his head for months and prefers getting around in either his walker or just rolling around the floor. Any feedback from you new parents???

My family friend's baby LOVES the jumperoo.
She just bounces and bounces in it. The problem is, when you hold her, she starts bouncing

My 6 month old and 19 lb grandson just loves his jumperoo. He's in it a couple times a day for maybe 20 min each time.

I paid 80 bucks for it.

Lucas loved his, but he outgrew it. He hit 25lbs a little before he was 9 months old... so I got a few months of use.

Same thing as a PP, though. If you stand him up he tries to bounce now. I miss his bouncer.

Mine are too old for the jumperoo now, but they both LOVED it when they were babies, well worth the investment.

We have the Precious Planet Jumperoo for Evan and he absolutely LOVES it. He jumps so much he will occasionally fall asleep in it :rotfl2: He's been in it since he was 3 months old and he's almost 5 months now. We just moved him to the second setting cause it was getting too long. I'll be sad when he's too heavy for it. For us it is worth it!

DGS8 months loves his!! He has the rainforest jumperoo and had spent lots of time in it over the months. It's his happy place and he just laughs and laughs!

DD really liked the Jumperoo at my mom's house, but she preferred the Exersaucer. You can probably find one of those pretty cheap, too. :thumbsup2

Either way you can't go wrong!

My son loved his jumperoo, he was also one of those baby's that bounced when you held him. We got a lot of use out of ours, my DS didn't weigh 19lbs untill he was almost a year old! As a matter of fact when we first got it (he was about 5 months old) he wasn't heavy enough to pull it down, he just sorta swayed, LOL!

Natalie loves her jumperoo. She is almost 10 months old now and still really likes it. :thumbsup2

My son loved both the jumperoo and the exersaucer. Once he got mobile, he quickly lost interest though.

BFF Nephew loves his. I know I used the bouncy seat with my nieces and nephews A LOT. I also love the excersaucer.

Both of my boys loved it. We just packed it up and put it back in the box for the next baby. It's a great way to get some laundry folded without the extra 'help' or make a quick meal. New they were about $80 when we got ours and I see them on Craigslist and at resales a lot.

The cautions from our doctor were to make sure their feet could still touch the ground well and not let them jump for extended periods of time. Otherwise, they could jump on their toes instead of their feet which can lead to them not putting their feet flat on the floor when ready to walk. I also read about babies using one leg more than the other to jump or lean to grab for the toys. We only use ours for a short period of time like most other toys anyway.

My son loved it. We got one when they first came out and would get one again if I were to have more.

We got an exersaucer because it has a smaller footprint. She can turn and play with the toys. I believe the jumpers only face one direction. We have a doorway jumper too, and she didn't fit that until recently, whereas the exersaucer she could use starting at five months or so. Not sure if the juperoo would be like the doorway jumper in that regard or not.
