Here's the situation:

Last year... I bid, and won (and paid for) 2 SkyAuction resorts. Oct 9-16/05 at Silver Lake resort and Oct 15-22/05 at Sheraton Vistana. Because I wasn't sure who would come with me this year, I booked 2 bedrooms at both places. As of last weekend my friends that were coming down for the Vistana stay are no longer coming.

So this means that just me and my 10yr DD- have 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom resort....

Before I go to SkyAuction customer service, I thought I'd ask you experts...

I know the confirmation sheet says "NO changes or transfers" but has anyone had any success doing that before? What do you think they can do for me? Downgrade size and give me the difference ($100-150 per week) back?
Credit for another auction? 2 weeks in 1-of the 2 places in 1 bedroom? Allow me to "give" to someone else?

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated! Thanks

skyauction has been know to return money when they can't get you what you want.

even sometimes when someone gets sick.

I don't know in your situation what they will do.

You might be out the other 2-bedroom or not.

I would kept the other 2-bedroom. when I travel with my mother - I try to get 2-bedrooms - we get along much, much better if I have my bedroom and she has hers!!!

this is too expensive to do at Disney.

We'll be in Orlando 10/4 - 10/15. I could send a few of my sons over. Will you feed them too? :earsboy:

I think I would just keep the extra space and not worry about it, but it never hurts to ask.

For future reference, October is pretty cheap to get last minute from a variety of sources. The Columbus Day week is a bit tougher, but the rest is all over the place. For off-season weeks, you might want to wait and book after you have a firm number.

yeah, but this was a a RSG that I won in June ( last year) thinking that I was going to you it last October'04 and waited until my very last day to (dec 30/04) to book and use the credit. I love Oct for that very reason...low season, great weather...lots of deals
