Anyone had migraine/chemical sensitivity reactions to Beach Club Villas renovations?

Has anyone with migraines or general chemical sensitivity recently stayed at Beach Club Villas and experienced any problems at all from the new renovations (paint, carpeting, etc)? I'm extremely sensitive to these migraine and allergy triggers, and concerned about booking a reservation for spring 2017.

It can take a year or more for outgassing to lower to a level where sensitive people aren't affected. Fabrics, plastics, furniture, mattresses are all sources as well as glue and paint. I would wait and not take the chance.

The same thing could happen with BLT as it was recently remodeled.

If you're sensitive (like I am) I wouldn't risk it. I once had a reaction while staying in a brand new Westin and it was miserable.

I had a reaction at BWV a few years ago, before any renovations were done. They had just sprayed some kind of god awful "air freshener" in our room before we checked into our villa. We could barely breathe and it triggered my migraine. Hopefully whatever they have done at the BeachClub does not trigger anything for you if you are that sensitive it might be best to pass this time.

The greater concern at this time is reaction to all the mosquito spray. I am sure the rooms are going to smell of Deep Woods Off.

I reached mostly to the lack of the theming and ceiling fans (hah), but truth be told the hallway carpet definitely has a distinct offgassing smell. I didn't notice any in the room at all.

And fortunately the cutter bug spray they provide doesn't smell nearly as potent as deep woods off. I didn't smell anything bad in the room at all.

About the air freshener comment above. We always request no air fresheners. Along with only cleaning with vinegar, water and baking soda. You can also request unscented laundry detergent for cleaning of linens and towels, etc.

You do need to call and confirm the resort actually gets the information. The morning or day before. If you don't call, I've never checked in and had them not do a regular clean. Somehow the notes from DVC never get to the resort.

Thank you all for your valued imput - we have decided to cancel our Oct. 2016 trip this year and are already planning to reschedule for sometime in the spring. Hopefully by that time, any and all outgassing will have taken place.
