I am wondering if anyone has bought re-sale from The Timeshare Warehouse? I have read everyones opinions on Reid, and The Timeshare store, but I don't recall hearing any info on this one. Anyone?

Thanks.

Erika

Just had a closing with The TimeShare Store on OKW (resale). Great experience - pure business - and to my satisfaction. Haven't heard of the "Timeshare Warehouse" though. There is a new crop of these outfits everyday it seems. Try "A Timeshare Broker (Jodi) or "Timesharesbyresale". All three are very agressive and might just provide you a deal like the one I just got.

I'm always amazed at the issue of who to deal with regarding DVC. Unless one needs their hand held (and if they do they shouldn't buy resale, at least not yet) it doesn't matter that much who you buy from. Talk to all of them and deal with the one that responds with what you want at the price you're willing to pay. Sure, if the experts (Shontell, Jaki, TSS, etc) have what fits your needs, there are advantages and I'd talk to those people first. It's not worth paying signficantly more though or waiting if they don't have what you want and someone else does. There are many places to look.

I guess I'll apologize for posting such a question. I don't believe I need my hand held, I have done plenty of research. However, spending such a large some of money, I at least want to make sure the dealer isn't shady. I am in mortgage, and I know of plenty of shady brokers and agents, so I thought I'd at least see if someone had done business with him in the past.

Erika,
It was a reasonable question! Some forums have a 'Newbie'
forum for the same reason. I am not familiar with The Timeshare Warehouse, but the sponsor of this forum is a resaler.

No reason to apologize, your question was appropriate. The main issues are finding what you want at the right price and making sure the contract is in order. IMO, the choice of closing agent is far more critical than the broker. My point was to encourage you to talk to a lot of people and find what fits your needs, not to chastise you.

We are just about to close on an OKW purchase from the Timeshare Warehouse.......its been perfectly businesslike and professional. My husband put together a bit of a spreadsheet for all of the available point contracts in the range we were looking for(from all of the companies), including closing costs, etc......The Timeshare Warehouse just had the best deal!

The one thing i will say is that we spent very little time dealing with Bruce Don(TSW) and much more with the folks at Timeshare Closing Services! All have been satisfactory!

I am with Dean on going with the company that offers what you want at the price you want.......

Good Luck

Amee

Shontell is really great. She didnt have what we were looking for so she called Jerry at TSS and he did. We are buying that resale and Jerry has been helpful and great to work with. Shontell did a great job helping us find what we wanted. I think you would be very happy with her. I would def use either Jerry or Shontell again.
