I just closed the door on an agent for something like "Ontario Energy" (I can't remember exactly). He was going on about locking in the price so we are protected by deregulation etc.
Has anyone had this? What did you do?
I HATE when people come to my door
- that in itself is enough for me to say no. I was immediately wary of the whole process and told him I wanted to look into things. It felt like some timeshare presentations...You won't get this offer again...you have to decide today etc.
The pushier he got, the less interested I was. At one point he even said to me "You obviously don't understand what I am telling you here" so I responded with "Are you calling me stupid? Is that really how you get people to sign up for this?" and then I asked him to leave.
