Dson-in-law has been helping one of my neighbors at the lake put a new roof on his place - as well as raising it to create a loft area.. He's up there this weekend helping him again..

As a thank you, the friend purchased tickets for the TS concert for Nov.22nd for my DGD (13 yrs. old), his DD (they're best friends), and his wife.. Dson-in-law will drive halfway to LI on Monday night with DGD - the friend & his DD will meet them there and bring them to his home on LI.. The night of the concert, the friend has hired a limo to take the two girls and the mom to Madison Square Garden and then back to LI.. On Wed. night they will do the halfway thing again to get DGD home for Thanksgiving..

I thought that was really generous of him - but didn't realize how generous until I just looked at the cost of the tickets - not even counting the limo!:eek::eek::eek:

DGD has been to NYC before (I never have) - but not to Madison Square Garden.. What's it going to be like? She's going to be safe there - right? (Yes - I'm a worried grandma - can't help it - it comes with the "job" - LOL)Anything she should know in advance?

And has anyone seen the concert? I love Taylor Swift myself - and all I can say is that she's one very, very, VERY lucky kid!!!!!!!
:thumbsup2

Your DGd is going to have an awesome awesome time. She will be safe, but the concert will be crowded as will the area around MSG. It will be crowded with tourists, people working etc. It's one of the most congested areas of NYC.

In spite of this she will be fine. The concert will be awesome. Taylor puts on a GREAT show. DD has seen her 4 times and eveery show is better than the one before. The merchandise is a bit expensive but if this is a one time chance then I say she get something to remember the occasion.

Don't worry. Since she will be with an adult she will be fine. The adult should bring ear plush :)

Thanks..:) That makes me feel better.. I think NYC seems scary to me because I've never been there myself.. I know it will be at night, but will there be any Christmas decorations around the Square before Thanksgiving?

The adult is a regular concert goer so I don't think she'll need ear plugs or anything.. She'll probably make more noise than the teens - LOL..
