Anyone going to MH and not staying at a DVC resort?

Just curious

Are any of you going to Member Homecoming and not staying at a DVC resort. I know availability is limited and I thought maybe some members made reservations at other WDW properties.

Is there any reason we couldn't do this?

Originally we were going to stay at AKL because we had never done it. When Member Homecoming was announced we switched to OKW (which we had also never done). We figured that if only DVC members were in the parks it would be harder to get a bus to a non DVC resort. We could drive of course, but prefer to just relax on the bus.

We'll be staying at CBR for MH. MS asked were we would be staying so I am assuming that transportation will be provided no matter where you stay. I love CBR and DH has never been there so we thought we'd give it a try. Also we have used all of our points up so this was less expensive for us!

hey this wasn't in my budget - so my points are gone - and it is costing - so I am staying (right now) in the Rodeway Inn Maingate - I haven't seem that hotel - so that is one of the things I am going to be during for my March trip.
