anyone going to dl the 5th thru the 11th of May?

we got our reservations made (will check on car rental tonight, thanks to some great recommendations on here!). we are staying at the howard johnson plaza (near disneyland). I am hoping that will be ok. it says that its a king smoking highway side room, 2 ppl max (I have it listed as 2 adults and a 5 yr old and they still put the reservation thru). I am hoping its not a noisy area in the motel.... (fingers crossed!).
Now to figure out what to pack... I've been doing and cleaning extra as our pipe in the bsmt leaked....nothing like some extra work before vacation!

My 5 yr old daughter has been asking every hour if we are leaving yet.....she is sooo excited!!!! I am too! No cooking for a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to call the HoJo and see if you can get yourself a different room. Is that all they had? It's facing the freeway. It will be noisy. Do you co-sleep with your dd? It only has one king bed and no place to put your 5 year old for sleeping. And do you smoke?

See if they can put in you in a double queen room in Bldg. 2 by the quiet pool, Or if that isn't available, a double/double in one of the couryard buildings (#'s 3, 4, 5 or 6). Those would be MUCH better.

If this is all that is available, I would find a different hotel, and I am a HoJo loyalist.

our daughter usually does sleep with us most of the night, and when we go to hotels its not usually a problem for her in our bed. when I booked the hotel and air, it was on unitedescapes. that was what was showing for that price. Do you think I can call and ask the motel now if we can switch rooms or wait til we get there and see if they can change us? I don't think I can change our reservation now that we booked our hotel/air flight and paid for it.

lgmh are mickey head paint chips from home depot,they are used to bring home to try and match the color of a room or decide what color you want to paint a room! i will be there 5/9 till 5/12 and will have lgmh attached to a hat and bag,say hi!!!!

We'll be there 5/6-5/10. Different hotel though. I'm planning on trying to stop and get some LGMH tomorrow. If you see a mom with 2 incredibly gorgeous little girls and 2 incredibly handsome young boys, that'd be me.

Call and ask, they assign rooms before you show up and it is harder to change. Doesn't hurt to ask.
