it's really weird but the majority of the friends that i made when i came to high school this year were juniors and seniors
and several sophmores
but i didn't make many new frinds that were freshman like me

yea. lots.

Grades: 8th grade didntmatter as much for grades, but now it does, cause chollege will be looking at your transcripts starting now. its easier to just get good grades then to try to gt your grades up latr in the semester.

friends: all your friends will change. i PROMISE. you will lose alot of good friends, most of them infact. unless you keep in touch with them really well. you will make alot of new freinds though.

parties: your friends are going t start drinking and partying and doing drugs. i PROMISE. dont get to upset with them, its part of high school. if you let it bother you everytime someone drinks and/or does drugs, you will end up worrying to much.



thats all i got right now. if you need more help ask me or any of the other older Disers. we will help you not make the mistakes we all did in our early years of high school.

Okay, guess I do have advice.

Don't be a slut (sorry, that's the nicest word I could use. I know a girl who walks around telling everyone her sexcapades and I don't need to know. I'm not even friends with her. It looks bad).

Don't pretend that you're better than people older than you. Especially for the guys. Don't start back talking to like a senior, you will get your lights punched out.

Don't walk around telling people how wasted you got the other night. Sure there are some people who will think you're like hardcore or something, but um yeah, makes you look stupid.

Gross humor (Farting, burping) and racist humor (not only racist, but also sexist and homophobic humor) doesn't fly either. Especially if you're in a big school.

Agreed.
I did enjoy though, the fact that I finally wasn't stuck with the same people I had been for the past 9 years. I was sick of constantly hearing other peoples drama, etc.
Now, I don't hear about it unless I go looking for it. I don't see certain people anymore, and it makes me happy that I don't have to deal with them.
I find it's more laid back for me.
And I enjoyed that my classes all had different people in them (okay, that's only half true. Whoever did the scheduling this year had everyone in my homeroom in like 5 of my courses. But two of them were one term each, and the other three were semester long courses).

i didn't get to expieriance freshman year, i was homebound with a tutor. i got no advice.

this year im in the high school. 8th and 9th are in the junior high.

Honestly I was so scared this year, but it was way better than middle school and jr. high.
Nobody bothered me, and if I got lost I just asked one of the teachers where the room was.

Just don't walk around acting like you're better than everyone else. Don't bother older kids and they usually won't bother you.

Really, there isn't anything to be worried about. It's just like any other day at school.
