anyone going in may?
i am trying to get a descent rate for hard rock.
anyone else find a good rate for any of the universal hotels?

We're going in mid-May. 5 nights @ 125./night. Entertainment rate at HRH. Can't wait!

that is the rate i am looking for...
we are going may 3rd thru the 10th.
i keep calling but no luck so far.
i have fan club card, ent book, & loews card.

I wasn't able to get any of those rates but was able to get AP rate for portofino $267 (deluxe room 4 adults + kid).

We're trying to go May 1-5 and can't seem to get an entertainment rate either. The operators have told me that there are no entertainment rates at any of the hotels for May 1-4 but no one seems to know why. We've booked the AAA rate of $180 (we've got three deluxe rooms booked). I'm going to keep calling and see what happens. There's no fan club rate either.

I just spoke to someone who said the rate is available starting May 4 but only if you are staying 5 nights.

Did you ask if they had the "All Access" rate available? If not, call back & ask. If they have it, book it. I believe it's one of the cheapest rates. If you get the rate booked, you have plenty of time to get the card. I believe the club rooms were $194.00 with the All Access Rate as opposed to $239 for the Fan Club rate.

I asked for the Entertainment rate (HRH) and was given the $125./night quote right away. She did say it had to be for 5 nights which is okay. I had originally on planned on 4 but 5 is good, too. We will be there mid-May the week before Memorial Day weekend. I don't know why they are more willing to give that rate some days in May and not others.

What is the All Access rate?

The All Access card is available through the Hard Rock Website. It costs $25.00, but they give you a $20 gift certificate to the Hard Rock Cafe. You get a very nice discount at the Hard Rock Hotel that will more than cover the $5 net cost. Like I said, I was quoted a rate for the Club Level at HRH of $194, which I believe it pretty good.

Just called the Hard Rock about the All Access rate. Apparently itno longer exists but can get you an upgrade, if available, at time of check-in.

Seems that right now, AAA, is the best rate going for that time.

Well that stinks!!! That was a really good discount. Unless, it's just not available for those particular days. I know it was available for some days this month, just not the days I was going to be there. The Hard Rock still has that as one of the benefits of membership on their website. Oh well, it was worth a toll free phone call. Sorry!!!
