I'm leaving on a biz trip to Orlando tomorrow and thought I may go to Top of World Tues. evening. I typically am not alone so this is all new to me without my family! Any thoughts on a solo agenda?

Sure. Go on up and sit at the bar and order a drink and an appetizer (or if you want to, get a table). When I'm alone, the bartender gets to entertain me, lol.

If you just want fireworks, go up and go out on the deck if its not too col and windy and watch and leave or stay in the bar afterwards.

Do what makes you comfortable. I'm often alone and would rather interact with someone occasionally.

Absolutely! It's a great place to go and relax, get a drink and a snack! I find WDW to be a wonderful place to travel solo :)

U-M's "spring" break doesn't line up with either the winter or spring breaks in the local schools, so my wife will take them somewhere for one or both of those weeks, and I travel separately for my week off. If I'm going somewhere for dinner, as often as not that's at one of the restaurants with bar seating or a lounge with a substantial menu. The bartenders (and, often, other bar patrons) are happy to strike up a conversation. Some of my favorite spots for this: the Tune-In Lounge (serves 50sPT's menu), Territory Lounge, California Grill (full menu at the bar), and the Wave (full menu at the bar).

Are you staying on Disney property? If not, you won't be allowed up.

Good point above....you do need to be staying at a disney hotel or no, you won't be allowed up. If so then YES! Go. I have gone plenty of times just me but only when we are staying at BLT. I'm the night owl in the family so I'll go get a drink while the wife and kids go to sleep. I've had plenty of nights with good conversation with the bartenders. If not staying on property, I recommend going to the lounge at Wilderness lodge. Had a great time there chatting with some folks at the bar and the bartenders. One of the bartenders working there was telling about opening the TOWL. Her and Mike. Mike is still at BLT and I always chat it up with him. Has that good sarcastic humor that fits well with me.
