I heard a while back that in April the APs would be different? Any news on this yet? Thanks!

I hadn't heard this yet, but would also like to know, as we will be renewing soon!

well, my brother in law just purchased one in the middle of march (ours are from august), and his is just like ours - no different.

where did you hear that they were changing them?

i wonder how will they be different? will they be actual cards, instead of the tickets? or will they be id passes, like the way that universal gives out their annual passes, where your picture is displayed on your card?

does anyone know what the changes will be?

thanks...

A few months ago a few people we saying they heard things were changing...most seemed to think it would just be a graphic for the 50th anniversary celebration, some think it might be plastic...I guess I'll just have to see next week :)

Was on the Disneyland thread, and most AP owners that have gotten there new passes say that they have new graphics. And they love them, or most do. So we will see.

for the past 2 years that we have gotten passes... the vouchers have come in lime green plastic cards... you exchange them at the front for your actual pass.

I received my voucher this week and it is also the same lime green plastic card as usual, but I wouldn't be suprised if the actual annual passes are themed for the Celebration beginning with those issued on May5.I hope so-it would make a great WDW keepsake. :earsboy:

We got ours in the beginning of April and they were no different.
My guess is some neat graphic or hologram or something for the celebration.
I doubt that they would be plastic since CMs have told us they actually have more problems with the plastic cards (magnetic strip getting scratced or worn off, cards cracking).

I got my AP replaced on our trip last week and the design was the same. Actually it was Minnie and I'd had Mickey. Everyone else in my family had Minnie so I guess I needed her too - LOL
