wondering how many posters are from WI ?
i also am wondering.,...when do most of Wisconsites atke thier WDW trip?
we are planning for winter because it will be so nice to be able to wear t-shirts and shorts in january :Pinkbounc
we were to the MK in late june last year, and just about died from the heat....so no more summer for us :jester:

thank you!

We were planning on taking our vacations in March-May, but the last three years have strayed - twice early in the Christmas season and this year for Halloween. Some thoughts:

1) Holidays are the best times at WDW, IMHO. Especially Christmas.

1) Late November to January may be just fine for shorts and tshirts during the days, but you also have to plan for COLD days. Our trip last year was c-c-c-cold. It was in the 50's and yucky. DW planned for it, so we were warm but a family we were with did not and ended up being freezing. Swimming may not be an option around these times. Or it may be. The first year we went for Christmas it was unseasonably warm.

2) Having said that, for our October/November trip it was unseasonably warm for the timeperiod. Upper 80s and very humid for most of our stay. While not horrible, it took a toll on the DD's. It really didn't rain much at all during our visit as you are kinda out of the rainy season.

Irregardless, both times it was COLD back home, so it was easy to leave to go and hard to come back. I think we may actually normally visit around the holidays now. We'll see.

As for other WI posters I think there are about a dozen or so active WI posters, and prolly more lurkers.

Hi,
We have gone to DW quite a few times. Most of our trips have been in early May. The weather isn't supposed to be as hot in that time frame, but the last few Mays were in the high 90's during our visit. That is too warm for us.
I agree with you that June is way too warm.
We have gone in Sept. a couple of times. The weather was very nice.
We are trying a Dec. trip in a few weeks. We are looking forward to temps in the 70's rather than the humid 90's.
We have enjoyed all of our trips to DW. Whatever the weather, you will enjoy it!

Hi Misty89!
We always go in mid to late February. This year we're going from Feb. 18th to March 3rd. It's always a great time to take a break from our Wisconsin winter!:sunny:

We used to go in Oct/Nov (during teacher's convention.) I think it would be great to go when the weather here is cold & snowy though, winter is so long a "warm & sunny" break would be nice. The last few trips have been in June though. We found it it is much easier to go when DD does not have to do homework while we are there. That way we can all relax and enjoy our vacation.

I have not been to WDW yet as a Winsconsiner (just moved here last March), but I also lived in Iowa a Michigan which has similar weather. :)

Our first trip was during Christmas week. A beautiful time to visit WDW. I do remember it being quite chilly in the morning. We would wear sweatshirts and light jackets.

Then I went with friends at the end of May. That was VERY hot! we always went back to our room mid day to take a break. And when DH and I went in June I don't remember it being so bad. :)

The last trip was for our honeymoon in October. The weather was perfect! Not oo hot or too cold. We had left snow flurries back in Iowa! That was a great trip.

Next year we are going the first week of May. It will be our first trip with DD (2).

I think anytime from late September to early May would be a great time to go! :)

Have fun!

We tend to go in Aug. most years. We've done may a few times and nov and dec. also. We're planning a last minute trip as I type for the 18th of Dec. No matter the weather, at least I'm in WDW!!::yes::

Most of are trips have been in Oct last week.this past summer
we where there in aug. we have a trip planed for feb and one for
spring break also.

It's fun. It's certainly not the strict regime that a lot of other CMs have told stories about for their stores. My manager is always willing to work with me and others concerning the schedule, etc.

It's a cool job. ;)

i'm all for october.. but, christmas is also nice.

during the holidays we sit around the campgrounds and hotel hop more than the parks and dealing with the crowds.

we4mickey has got us to go at easter a couple times.

Another Wisconsinite here.:wave2:

As you can see in my signature line we have gone to WDW a few times, and they have all been during different times of the year. This year will be our second time going the end of October, it was perfect the last time we went & we're hoping for the same this time. We have also gone in February (great weather, low crowds), mid-March, the end of July (too hot), September (hurricane Floyd chased us home 2 days early), and most recently in December (again perfect weather, but busier than we expected for the first week of the month).

We have gone in Feb 2004, April 2007, March 2008 and it will April 2009. By April we can't take the snow and cold anymore that we just have to go. Especially after this last winter with the record snowfall  , March did not come soon enough.

Yay for Wisconsinites! We've gone at different times of the year...when we were younger we went in Jan./Feb. then we started going over our spring break. In 2006 I went in Oct. when Marquette had fall break. We've also been several times in December (and are going again this Dec.! :cool1: :cool1: ). And we went in May this year too.

Best times? May and October were awesome...great weather and LOW crowds!

ETA: OK, I just realized how old this thread is! haha

We usually go in October for the Food and Wine Festival, but also love going in January. Hi there Big V!! Nice to see you again!
