My family is taking a trip there in a few days (my neice is playing in the little leauge world series) :cheer2: . I am looking for some affordable things to do between games. We would love to take a sight seeing tour by boat, or a whale watching cruise. The only boat ride I could find was $90 per person. I was really hoping to find something a little less then that seeing that we already spent a small fortune on the airfare just to get there.

I know dinner at the Space needle is a must. Couldn't find the price for admission for that, but I assume it will be pricey. We'll call this our one slurge activity.

Any other suggestions on reasonably priced things to do. (o, we will be all adults, no children)
Thanks for any suggestions you can provide!

Hi, Not from there but go every summer for a week with the kids. Go to pike place market -free. its a kick to watch them through the fish. ride the street trolie down below and check out the water front shops- they have a pirate store. they have a small aquarium also right there. if you have time to do a few things shech out the seattle sight and do a city pass, that lets you do a small cruise, the space needle, the aq. and a duck tour and not sure what else. but way cheeper to do it that way then just three things. dinner will run $100-150 prob. I think you have to have res now. have a great time, whatever you do stop at a hotle and get some pamplets as they have lots of buy one get one in free. Mum of two pirates pirate: pirate:

I am in Seattle. If it were me I'd take a trip up to the top of the Space Needle, but I wouldn't spend the money to eat there. The food is decent, but for the price you can get a lot better. I think just to ride up on the elevator is $13 each.

For the boat ride you can take an Argosy cruise, they have some awsome tours. These are pricy as well, but more worth it than dinner at the Space Needle.

seattle.citysearch.com will give you prices and such for the major attractions in Seattle. They also have something called a city pass. I think this is the best deal to see all the major attractions.

There is also Pikes Place Market, which is free & the Seattle Underground Tour, not sure of the cost for this.

Hope that helps!

Another vote for Pikes Place Market and the Underground Tour. You may want to consider taking a boat to/from Victoria, B.C. for a day trip, if you have the time -- it's a beautiful city to visit and the ferry is relatively affordable.

Also, the Boeing Tour in Seattle is pretty cool.

Another vote for NOT eating at The Space Needle -- too expensive.

My best friend live in Seattle for several years and we did lunch at the Space Needle once. Like many Disney sitdowns, lunch is a bit cheaper. There is a website for the Space Needle with the menus and prices.

We'll be in Seattle next week and one of the things that I heard about was a Duck Tour. The Duck is a vehicle that drives on land and then goes in the water. That might be something you want to consider doing.

I grew up in Tacoma, just slightly to the south. I don't live there now(it's way to crowded for me) moved farther north. :cold: But I'd have to say the Space Needle's good, as well as the underground tour, Maybe the Rainier Beer tour. Just being adults I don't know if the zoo would be an option. Woodland Park zoo is great also good for a picnic. In Tacoma is one of the best zoos I've been to called Pt. Defiance and you can get there by ferry. Which is also something neat to do, ride a ferry to an island or just across the sound, the prices for these aren't too bad, especially if you're a walk on. There's also the waterfront, some interesting sights. If you have a rental car and some time there is also a place that few people mention called Snoqualmie Falls its about 30 miles ESE of downtown seattle. There are also numerous wineries in the area, and many do free tours w/ tastings. Comedy clubs also abound, But most of all is all the Seattle Coffee houses. Have fun in the Pacific Northwest!!

I would suggest:
Pikes Place
Aquarium
Pioneer Square
University District
Space Needle
My daughter loves the zoo

Enjoy
