Anyone from Aiken SC/Augusta area?

Just wondering if I could get some feedback about the Aiken/Augusta area. I am interviewing with a company there and it looks like a nice area. My DW is a teacher and we also have a DD (5) and DS (1). What is is like there?

Hi! I grew up in the Aiken/Augusta area. Otherwise known as the CSRA. (Central Savannah River Area). My father and sister live in North Augusta and my my mother lives in the Martinez/Evans area. What would you like to know?

Just general information like best home areas, schools, etc. What is the community like? Being from Charlotte-with alot of things to do- will we be disappointed in coming to a smaller town? My DD is almost 6 and DS is 1. DW is a teacher and wants to know about the schools and finding a job herself.
