We have a 7:30 am flight in November and their website says to allow 3 hours. I am dreading the thought of dragging three tired kids thru the airport at 4:30 am just to sit around for 2 hours. Anyone have any recent experience?
I wondered the same thing, especially if you have to add on an hour's drive to the airport, then parking & shuttling to the terminal...practically an all-nighter. I called my travel agent on this and she said it wasn't necessary to check-in that early, more like 2 hours ahead should be plenty due to this being an early flight, the crowds should be light. Just to be safe I'm going to call Spirit a couple of days before departure to confirm flight times and see if this 3 hour window is really necessary. Hope this helps.
I have a 7:15 AM flight out of Atlantic City in Dec and when I called Spirit with this same question they said 2 hours prior would be fine due to how early in the AM it is.
