anyone fly in/out of St. Petersburg/Clearwater?

Hi!

I found a great rate on USA3000...$59 each way. Problem is while we can fly into Orlando; we can only fly out of St. Petersburg/Clearwater for that price and on the day we need to return home.

It would cost under $550 to fly our whole family of four! And only about $50 extra I think to rent a car for the day to fly to Clearwater airport.

How long is the drive? The flight is not until late evening...anything to do with the kids in the Clearwater area until the flight leaves?

I flew out of Clearwater last Sept. because the hurricane was comming and they shut down the Orlando airport. Seems like it tooks us 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get there. Traffic was bad but that I imagine that was due to the fact that people were getting away from Jeanne. Not sure how long it would take on a regular day. The main difference is that you walk outside and then up some stairs to board the plane.
