Hi!
I was just checking my airline options for our Sept.28-Oct.6 trip and discovered Allegiant Air. I noticed that their schedule is only open until the first of June thus far so I'll have to wait until they open up my dates. The dates that are open have wonderful fares of $39 each way. Is this the "usual" fare from Chattanooga? I'm so hoping when can take advantage of those prices for our trip!!! Also do you know how far in advance they release their schedules?
I apologize for so many questions. Thanks so much for any info!!! :thumbsup2

It sure is sammielynn!!! I just have a feeling it won't last at least for my dates anyway. I've been checking and it seems like $79 is their going rate. I'm actually an hour closer to Knoxville's airport than Chattanooga's but the fares from there are $79. I was willing to drive to save money. I bet when the next round of dates are released the fares will go to $79. Here's what I read on the Chattanooga Airport website:

Allegiant’s $49* one-way introductory fare is limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by Sept. 23, 2006, for travel through Jan. 31, 2007. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $79 one-way.

I would love to snag the $39 fare so I hope I'm mistaken!!! ;)

Right now Chattanooga to Orlando is $39 through early June. It is $79 from Knoxville for the same time period. Knoxville to Clearwater is $39. I hope I can get my ducks in a row and book while it is still $39. That makes it 98.80 round trip.

Don't count on that , we just flew allegiant last week from allentown last week and their fare fluctuated all the time , we ended up paying $12 plus tax per person from clearwater to allentown and $79 from allentown to sanford but there was a mechanical problem that caused a 7 hour delay and we were given a $60 credit on the spot , so we ended up paying about $50 per person round trip .

Yes, sammielynn definitely get your ducks all straightened out and grab that $39 fare!!! I would die from shock if I were to get a price like that!!! :rotfl:

I just booked our trip for eight on Allegiant Air from Shreveport and got it for $59 each way per person. I was so excited about it but then my bubble burst when I found out too late that Allegiant does not fly into Orlando International, but Orlando Sandford airport, which the lady on the phone tells me is an hour away from Disney. I then found out that I could not use the Disney magical express from that airport and Disney gave me the number to Mears transportation to arrange our shuttle service. It will be $120 for eight people for one way. I'm a perfectionist and want our Disney vacation to be absolutely perfect (which is an impossible feat) and I'm disappointed that we will not be closer and able to use the Magical Express. However, I do know that it will be wonderful once we get there!! I'm taking my kids and grandchildren for a magical week. Just wanted to pass the news along to make sure you know where your landing. We are still saving lots by flying Allegiant.

That's unfortunate, but the silver lining to the cloud, IMHO, is that Sanford is a very nice airport and the drive to WDW via the Greene Way is very pleasant.
