Anyone flown with Spirit out of Latrobe?

I don't care if Spirit is 50% cheaper, I'm not flying them.

Tried them several times years ago and service sucked. Every time the flight was delayed. Workers were antagonistic.

I don't need the hassle when I can just fly Southwest instead.

Thank you! I read some where that the airport has a machine where you can go And print it yourself . Do you think I can still do my 24 hour check in online and them wait Nd print it at airport? Sorry for so many questions new to all this!

Yes, check in at the 24 hour mark to pick a seat, print at the AP, but they will still charge you.

When did SW start flying out of Latrobe?

Spirit's website no longer lists, at least last time I checked, a fee for using an airport kiosk to print your BP. Some airports the kiosks are multiairline. I suspect the airports were less then willing to program them to require a credit card from Spirit's passengers. Absolutely no guarantee there will be a kiosk available to print your BP for free.

If you are staying at a Disney resort you can go to the Concierge desk and they can help you. It's trickier than other airlines because you have to actually log into your account with your password. At SSR they brought me into the back to do it, at the Poly they handed me a keyboard to type in my password. Last time we flew they charged you to print at the airport.

Do you think I have to tell them ahead of time I am checking a stroller? It's says they heck them for free and I didn't see any where to let them know on website..

When did SW start flying out of Latrobe?

They don't, I think they meant SW out of PIT. A friend is flying out of Latrobe in a couple weeks, it will be interesting to hear her comments. For me, it's about 50 miles, I don't want to drive that far, especially at night. I flew them a few years ago when they had a PIT-ACY route, we sat at ACY for hours while they flew a part in from Tampa.

We flew out of Latrobe this summer to texas and it was fine. Was shocked how small it was but everyone was nice and it went smooth. The free parking was a major plus.

Or people who have read a lot of message boards and understand that people think Spirit is great until the unexpected happens. And then you discover the President of the airline meant it when he said they don't do service :rotfl2: Over Christmas I read several horror stories of "we are stuck and Spirit won't get us on another plane for a week".

I have read enough reviews to know I am NOT getting on this airline

I have but won't again unless I have plenty of time on my hands. We experienced long equipment delays to and from on LBE/MYR route. Flight after us down to FLL was cancelled outright that had several people cruising the next day. They were supposed to leave in the am and flight wasn't cancelled until after 6 pm. :( Kicker was they only had service 4 days that week with nothing departing the next day!

We chatted with many in the small terminal sitting there for 9 hours on a beautiful summer day.:bitelip: The snack bar is on other side of security. All they have is an overpriced white table cloth restaurant and vending machines that emptied out quickly.

The airport is closer to my home that PIT, drive is easy and parking is free. Now, all they need is an airline we can depend upon to deal with any customer service issues that may arise fairly as most reputable airlines do, rather than spirit's so sad, too bad stance and we'd frequent it.

I'm not sure if there is a readily available record of delayed/cancelled spirit flights out of LBE but I've spoken to many in our area who had the same negative experience.
