We have never heard of this airline before (only found out about them through the Travel City Direct website).

Are they any good as we have only flown with Virgin before?

We would be flying Gatwick/Sanford if we book through TCD.

Thanks!

I might be wrong but don't EAL run the flights for TCD ? If so, they're planes bought at knock down prices from airlines in financial difficulties. I don't think you get the seat back screens.

We flew with this company last year in October. They use ex-B.A. jumbo's. The planes seem a bit old, no seat back t.v.'s etc but the crew were great. We travelled with our six month old son, got bulkhead seats, skycot etc. Quite a bit of leg room, and after all it was a LOT cheaper than Virgin!

They do try and get a few more quid out of you in the way of various upgrades, we paid forty pounds for a "double" baggage allowance for all the family, (the wife is an Olympic Gold Shopper!). But during the flight we got free drinks, headphones and the meals were OK. I have definitely travelled with worse. The flight is direct into Sanford, which I have not managed to get lost leaving yet. Unlike MCO I just seem to get stuck on the toll roads!

I would use them again, if you have any other questions let me know.

Gibbo.

We flew with them last October and can confirm the above comments - we are also flying with them again in 7 weeks - enough said!

We travelled with them two weeks ago in sunshine first class at this was avery nice experience . I did have a look at the economy class and found the seating no different to virgin .The only draw back is no seat back tv's but on the good side flying to sanford is so much easier than orlando international. If you are going to book accomodation with TCD then try and upgrade to sunshine first class it is well worth the extra (I paid £199 extra per person)

EAL fly ex BA 200 series jumbo jets.

No seat back TV's & thus not a great selection of movies however
free headsets & bottle of still water, plus free drinks.

No great choice of meals but no worse than any other charter flights - good leg room on par with Virgin & alot better than most charter flights.

Attendents polite & cheerful/helpful.

You shouldn't draw comparisons with scheduled flights such as Virgin, remember EAL do cost alot less.
