Anyone flown into Toronto Canada?

We would like to take our 3 kids to Scotland next summer but when I did a price with British Airways it was astronomical.

Would anyone be will to share tips, airlines, or past prices they have paid for a flight from Toronto. Ask me how to get to Disney cheap and I know but here I am completely in the dark.

Have you tried Air Transat ?

They are quite competitive (charter vs scheduled flights), but I don't know whether they fly to Scottish airports or if you'd have to get a connection. They do use a lot of regional airports, so it may be worth a look

We flew with Air Canada in 2002 - I can't remember the prices of the flights but I could ask DH to dig out the info.

Thanks everyone. I checked out the links mentioned and I can't believe the prices.
My kids are dying for a Scotland/England trip so much that they wan't to skip Disney for it. Hubby also wants to show the kids where his parents are from but it looks like we might have to save for another year.

if you can make the trip any other time besides the summer, you'll get much much better prices....crossing the atlantic in the summer can be two or even sometimes three times the price of other times of the year...
