We are heading to Disney in August  and have booked our flights on Allegiant Air out of Stewart in Newburgh NY. The prices were good ($89.00 pp with selected seat) which seemed to be cheaper than we could get out of Hartford. I'm a little nervous flying them since we have never used them before. Have heard good things - I know it's no frills, but we only have a 2 hr flight. Any experience with this airline?

Any info is appreciated!

I haven't flown Allegiant yet but I wanted to let you know that AirTran has a direct flight to MCO from Westchester Airport. I read that you have your tickets already for your next trip but it might come in handy for the future. Sorry I don't know anything about Allegiant. The days they fly didn't match our itinerary.

We flew Allegiant from Worcester to Sanford. The planes are MD 80 series, 3 and 2 seating and were fine. We brought our own drinks and snacks, but couldn't use the peanut butter crackers due to someone's peanut allergy. The Sanford Airport is a breeze. We rented a car from Alamo, and even with a very early flight out on Sunday am had no trouble. HOpe that helps.

Hopefully, they'll still be in business by then. Airlines flying from SWF to Florida haven't lasted too long. We always meet people from Orange and Dutchess counties at ALB when we fly because of the same reason - SOUTHWEST.
That said, I've only heard good things about Allegiant!

It is a seat from point A to point B. My biggest complaint was that they tend to nickel and dime you, $10 to pick a seat, money for a soda, money for a snack.

It it fine and for the price, it is a good deal.

We didn't pay extra for seat selection. Got to Worcester early, and DH and I got Exit row! We were slower at Sanford (blame that EARLY departure time) and were in the rear (not the last row or two) of the plane. We brought our own soda ($2 onboard) and had lots of munchies. I would definately fly them again when dates were convenient. DD22 and I might on her January college graduation trip :)
