anyone flown air canada recently?

i am flying YVR LAX with my 4yr old on a late arriving flight and would like to gate check my BOB stroller will they allow this? has anyone had success or denials?
what have you seen?
I know they recomend umbrella stroller but it doesnt say they are not allowed?

I just flew to from England, saw many people pushing strollers to the gate.

I've gate-checked a Baby Jogger stroller (about the same size as the BOB), and that was on a charter and it was no trouble. I've also flown AC 4 times in the last month, and while I opted to bring my smaller stroller, I've seen people gate-check the huge SUV-sized strollers as well You shouldn't have a problem...
