im very desperatly trying to figure out if i need to buy the travel bag for my BOB stroller ( jogging type) its full size but compacts really well!
i know the website says that they recommend umbrella type strollers but it doesnt say they are the only ones allowed
i dont want to get there and not be able to gate check my stroller as we get in really late to LAX
does anyone have recent experience with them?
thanks

Like I said, they are really starting to limit the size of strollers...I would call them and see what they say. How old is your child? I'd say if he/she is 2 or under then you have a better chance of gate checking it. If they are older then it might be a tougher sell. Are you close to the airport? You could always go there before the trip and get them to take a look at it.

I suggest posting this on the Canadian thread...people there would have a better idea.

I'm just going on what AC told me. They didn't say that I couldn't gate check mine, just that they recommend a smaller stroller. They also said if I want to check it that it counts as a piece of luggage and has to follow size guidelines.

Call Air Canada...or go to the airport.

Good luck!

:)

i agree with PP i would call.. I flew air canada into the US about 3 months ago.. was a total mess.. I don't know if they have calmed down since then but the security was a nightmare.. Just when I thought i was through the security there was a second line and they opened EVERY single item I owed that i was carrying on .. Turned everything on.. looked through all pouches.. etc.. etc..
