DH and I recently bought at SSR, mostly because we met on PI and then spent the next week going to the parks together! It was pretty romantic to relive the trip that brought us together, and we wanted to do it more often. DH was with his family (actually footed the bill for their trip), and I was there at a conference. Funny enough, we are both from the midwest, grew up 40 minutes away from each other, but had to come to WDW to meet and fall in love!

I was wondering if anyone else met their intended at WDW?

Not WDW, but HHI

DD18 met a boy at Disney's HHI last summer. He was vacationing with his family. They saw each other 5 times before they spoke. They finally spoke because I dragged her over to see the starfish that this boy found at the beach. Our families started talking and we realized we live in the same city. Little did I know he lives 6 miles from our house. Yes, they are still dating, but are way too young to get serious.

On the DIS boards here, answering a question about DVC :D . Wedding due later this year.

These are neat stories.
DS (16 at that time) met a girl on our Disney cruise. They dated for a very short time. We live near Philly and she was from NJ.

We didn't meet at WDW, but we went to Disneyland together when we first started dating. 11 years, 3 kids and 16 trips later....the rest is history.

My son was in the College Program in the fall of 2000 and met his future wife who was also in the CP. They married in July, 2002, and we will all be together at OKW this Saturday!

We'll also be introducing our 3 year old niece and her father to Disney World. :Pinkbounc

My cousin met her dh on a family vacation to WDW. They kept in touch (lived in different states) and he came and proposed right after she graduated from high school. They married young, but are still married, probably around 15 years now!

My wife and I met at the Disney School (Celebration). I was a teacher, she a student teacher. We went out on our first date to the California Grill, had dinner and watched the fire works over the Magic Kingdom. She had never been, I had been a College Program alumni so I knew a few of the ins and outs. We did something on Disney Property just about every other day. We were engaged in the morning at the lake in Celebration where I proposed and then drove to the Wilderness Lodge for a Character Breakfast with Pooh and friends. All the characters knew ahead of time and made special memories for us by looking at her ring. We then hit MGM and later EPCOT where we had dinner in France that night. I had prearranged to have our friends meet us at the Beach Club's Beaches-n-Cream for ice cream later that night. It was a totally awesome day and one I will never forget. The only thing to top it has been the birth of my son. We have been married six years now and currently own in the DVC system and often go back for good memories.
