DH and I are activley 'trying' for #2!! I won't be able to test for pregnancy until the mid/end of our trip even with and early detection test. I don't want to miss rides if I don't have to.

Anyone ride all the rides and then find out they were preggo? Or rode the rides very ealry in pregnancy. I'll probably skip SPACE since it's a prolonged centrifuge.

Any experiences welcome!
Thanks.

Yes, I found out the last day of my trip in 2003 that I was PG... I rode ALL the rides. Including the very jerky rides like RRC, TOT and Dinosaur... I was OK.

wow, what a memorable way to end your vacation! :flower1:

Yup, not sure if I got pregnant right before we left or on vacation, but I rode them all, never dreaming I was pregnant. I even did Rockin Roller Coaster! She's perfect.

Good luck and my your trip be truly "magical".

Yep...found out I was pregnant about a week and a half after our July 2003 trip to WDW. I had ridden EVERYTHING.

I didn't panic, but when we went back in December 2003, the only questionable ride I went on was the safari (toward the front it's not as bumpy).

DH and I took our belated Honeymoon at Disney in '98. It was 3 1/2 mo. after our wedding and the night before we left the pregnancy test was positive. I called the nurse at my ob/gyn office and check on my limitations.

She laughed and told me to enjoy myself. My only limits were any water slides that could cause water to go up the shoot (so to speak) and anything that caused direct impact with my abdomen.

My only problem on the entire trip was being really tired most of the time. I did enjoy getting to eat my way through Disney World with complete abandon, boy that was fun!!!!!

I've BTDT too! We were at Disney 5/7-5/12/2003 and ate, drank and rode everything I wanted. Got the positive test on 5/14. My little one is 13 months and just perfect. She is a bit Disney obsessed, but that's probably genetic!

Have a great time!

I just found out that I'm pregnant and my husband and I were in WDW back in December. I would have only been about 3 weeks along at that point (and had no idea), and I rode everything!! I had my first sonogram yesterday and our little peanut looks fine!

Have a good trip!

In Dec. 1999, we were there Dec 4-11 and I found out on the 18th that I was indeed pregnant after we'd been trying for a bit :) I rode everything (but I would probably skip Mission Space from what I've been hearing about it!LOL!) Good Luck!!!!

I went to WDW/DCL 10 weeks into my pregnancy. My Ob/Gyn said that the signs stating the pregnant women shouldn't ride were more for DISNEY'S protection than mine or the baby's and that I should just go and enjoy myself. We had our 2.5-year-old in tow, however, so I didn't get too adventurous.

My grandparents-in-law joined us for a day, and were so cute: "Are you sure it's OK for you to go on the Dumbo ride?" It was nice to report that I had my doctor's blessing!

My dr. expressly forbade any heated spa treatments and hot tubbing, however, because the high temp is dangerous for the baby. Don't know if that's true at the 8-cells-big stage, but just keep it in the back of your mind.

and i was a little hesitant about the rides....and as i was walking past space mountain...at woman, 5 1/2 months pregnant, walked out of the ride. WELL...that did it for me....i rode SM, BTMR, Kali, Safari.....everything I wanted to except ToT, RnR & Mission Space.

The woman I spoke to told me that her doc said it was a liability thing for disney only......i agree....the other rides except the ones i mentioned are really mild.....and lets face it....people ski & ride horses pregnant...why not a MILD roller coaster like BTMR???

have fun.
amie..........who's going back in 6 weeks and plans to ride everything again!!

Yup! In June 2000, about a week after we returned home, I tested positive. I went on everything and even had a drink! I had no idea I was pregnant. My Disney baby is perfect!!! :D

It's my husband's firm belief that I got pregnant *at* Disneyland (well, in the Hotel. Not on Space Mountain or something), although I think it might have been a couple of days before we left.

Regardless, I rode all the rides, and then got (what I thought was) a cold and took lots of cold medicine. About three weeks after we got home, I found out I was pregnant.

I was sooo worried that I'd shaken the poor baby to bits or something, but the doctor reassured me, and he came out fine. ;)

Was not in WDW but my DH and I still talk about the boat ride I took before I found out I was preg w/ DS #1. First, let me say that we weren't "trying" to get pregnant. We were going from Key Largo to a remote island, about a 30 min ride. We were sitting on the very hard inflateable sides of the boat. For the entire, very rough, trip my butt bounced up about 4-6" from the surface and then landed back down. I could barely hold on! Anyway, a few days after we got home, I found out I was pregnant (about 2-3 weeks at the time of the boatride). fUNNY, I never worried about a miscarriage bc. I figured if that kid could hang on through that boatride, he was not going to budge for anything less than uterine contractions! :D
