Anyone familiar with the Fuji V10 or Pentax T10?

My father's planning on getting my mother a digital camera for Christmas. She wants something with a large LCD, to make it easier to show pictures to others. That means a 3" LCD.

A little research has found the Fuji FinePix V10 topping my list so far, but I can only find one "pro" review, at Steve's Digicams, but frankly he's often a little "soft" in some reviews and I'd be curious to hear more opinions. Beach has it for only $205, so it's pretty affordable.

Then there's the Pentax Optio T10, which got a very good review over at Megapixel but I can't find many other reviews for it. With a $30 rebate (expiring soon), it's about $202.

The main competition to these seems to be the Canon SD630 ($283) and the Nikon S6 ($279). The Canon seems to be pretty comparable but no obvious benefit to warrant the extra $80, and the Nikon seemed to suffer a little in the image quality department from what I could find - and even being equal, it's still a $75 bump. The others all start to get in the over-$300 area, which is a bit much for what this camera will be used for.

Anyone have any opinions of these two or gone through a similar decision-making process recently?
