I did a few searches because I was sure that this had come up before, but no luck. Anyhow, I'm searching for the best rate available on an intermediate or full size car for a week in January. This EZ Rent-a-car is offering the best rate at both Travelocity and Orbitz. They are off-terminal at MCO. Anyone have any experience with this folks? Thanks...............P

Did you try a search?

There have been some posts in the past and I don't think they were favorable. My brother rented with one of these "local" offsite companies once. Took him over an HOUR to get the car, they were insistent that he purchase insurance (to the point of abuse) etc... All in all he said the savings were NOT worth the abuse.

Yup, like I mentioned, I searched a few times, but no luck. Thanks for your info. I'm always leary of going with an unknown. I guess I'd rather spend a few $$ more and go with a national company. .................P

We are renting a car for the first time for a trip to the WDW In January also. It looks like the best deal for a nationally known company will be through priceline. Like the OP, I am squeamish about using payless or ez rent etc. We're going to try everything though including Sam's and BJ's discounts. I've had good luck with Hertz through AAA in the past but they are high for MCO/Orlando. Good luck with your price hunt

i would not stray from the tried and true. Use a well known. Consider booking a main car rental company. We usually rent from budget and have always had good rates. If you sign up for fastbreak you get a break on the price too. I always put in a reservation for the car I want regardless of the price. And ninty-nine percent of the time the rate comes down. very easy to do. budget is on site at the airport and if you have a fastbreak # on your ressie you can bypass the counter and go straight to the garage to pick up your key. From landing to getting your car it only takes 35 to 45 minutes total. Plus if you have airline frequent flyer numbers you can get points for them. We get Advantage Airmiles from American.

just my two cents.
