I got the name of Premier Vac. Homes off the DU website. Advantage Vac. Homes I have heard of before. Does anyone know anything about them especially where they may be located and hoe good are they? I am just really interested in a 2 bedroom w/ private pool at a decent condo/villa place.

We stayed at a Premier home 5 years ago, and found it excellent. However, when we called them 6 months later to book for the next visit, the young man who answered really enjoyed being a fool. I asked for the rate and he said '1 million dollars a night'. It took some time to get a serious answer, at which time he said the home we had rented the previous year for $110 a night was now $180 a night. I said that was a huge increase, and we didn't have to stay with them if we didn't like it.
We rented another excellent home from a competitor for the entire month, and drove by the first house daily. It was empty the entire month! Somewhere some innocent home owner had no idea that their management company had smart-mouthed them out of a month's rent.

Advantage/Styles/ResortQuest are the areas largest management company with over 600 homes at last count. They were purchased by the giant Resort Quest company nearly two years ago ands have been changing all their corporate theme to suit for quite a while.

They are a good company and any home you rent should be of a good standard.

Premier changed owners last Summer and their standards have slipped a little over the last few months whilst the new owners get to grips with things. IMO they were always the best of the large MC companies (over 300 homes) and I'm sure normal service will resume. I don't know much about the new people but the old ones ran a tight ship and their homes were always well looked after.

From a homeowners point of view, both companies are probably a little exasperating. It comes with having a lot of homes and the personal touch has probably disappeared a little bit.....if that's what you want you either rent from one of the smaller MC's or direct with the owner.

Otherwise, both are good sound companies with nice houses.
