How exciting!

I remember Mr. Roboto, that ages me a bit doesn't it?

LOVED their song LADY!!!!!

They are playing in FT. Laud in OCT!!!!!

A couple of years ago the lead singer was in Rosie O'Donald's audience and upon her request, he broke out in one of the old songs......his voice is still fabulous. I believe he was planning to sing in a Broadway show(??)

Ok, shoot me for not knowing which one it was, but one of the singers for Styx was in town for the opening of a new concert hall- he was performing with a symphony. So he was on my local radio station and the program manager brought in his accordian and the guy from Styx picked it up and sang Lady while playing the accordian. It was amazing.

I love STYX! Come Sail Away, Lady and Mr. Roboto are some of my favorites. But, there isn't a song on their greatest hits album that I don't like.

Did you ever see their Behind the Music on VH1? They had a pretty crazy story, IIRC.

Big Styx fan here. I've seen them twice -- once when they toured in 1997 or 1998 and once a year or two ago when they toured with REO Speedwagon.

Jfulcer and JayBee, you may be thinking of Dennis DeYoung. I believe he's done more Broadway-style music recently, and I know he sang the lead vocals for "Lady". He wasn't with Styx when I saw them with REO, but I thought their performance was better that time than with DeYoung.

DH saw them twice back in the 70's. Not the same group since Dennis has left though. Tommy Shaw still looks good though. When they made an appearance in Philly a while back, there were still Tommy Shaw fans!

I know I am old, when I remember having a Styx 8 track!

Now doesnt Dennis has some funky light/sound sensitivity now? That was the excuse a while ago.

Styx just played our county fair a couple of weeks ago. Dennis DeYoung hasn't toured with them for quite some time. IMO his voice was what made Styx so good. Haven't seen them w/o him, so can't comment on how they sound now.

Got to see them with REO S. in Great Adventure with DH and the kids a couple of years ago, my 11 year olds favorite song is, "Renegade".

They are awesome! Anyone heard of them, that's funny.

Strong Chicago roots, heard them a lot in late 60's, early 70's though never saw them. Great classics.
