Anyone ever use the Crocs Sling Bag / Backpack??

This post is for anyone who has ever used the crocs sling bag in the parks. We would love to hear your feedback and opinions on the bag.....

Last year I purchased a pink Crocs Sling bag prior to our 2009 trip, and never used the bag. I stumbled upon the bag recently and DH tried it on and said it is very comfortable, lightweight, and feels like it is not there. He said he would wear the bag in the parks (which I would love!!), but he is not loving how "pink" the bag is.

So, we started searching online for the blue version of the bag. We believe this bag was discontinued and therefore has been nearly impossible to find. We did find it at the below site, but before we spend the $$$ on the bag, we would love to get any feedback on how it works for a day in the park. It will be just DH and I traveling, we travel fairly light in the parks. Things we typically bring with us are : camera, ponchos, folding fan, sunglasses/glasses, cell phones, keys (rental car), and misc stuff....

I saw those bags in a Hallmark store over Xmas break. Perhaps you could try there?

I have one (that my SIL purchased for me in Hallmark last year).

I've never used it yet as I have a different bag (DVC messenger bag) that I use for the Disney parks. It appears to be a great bag IMO & if I didn't already have my DVC bag, then I would use my Croc bag.

**Did you get to check Hallmark yet? Around here, only some of the Hallmarks carry the Crocs bags.

No... I haven't checked Hallmark yet. I will go by a couple of them tomorrow and scout it out (but I don't remember ever seeing any Croc merchandise in my local Hallmark Stores).

I think if I were you, I would call and just ask them if they sell them...it will save you a lot of running around. You could also ask the salesperson if he/she knows of any Hallmarks that do sell them.

Out of the 5 or 6 Hallmarks around me...only two sell them. Our local mall has two Hallmarks in it, & only one of them sells them. Almost all of them do sell the Crocs shoes though.

We've actually taken that bag along on two trips to Disney and love it. We use it as a diaper bag and carry our video camera in it as well. I believe I got it online at Dick's Sporting Goods. I also like that it has holes in it for Jibbitz!

Thanks for your feedback! It seems like a pretty lightweight bag - did you find it wore heavy by the end of the day? Or make your shoulder hurt?

The way the bag is designed it really carries well. The strap is wide enough that it doesn't cut into you. The weight of the bag is actually distributed well. We also end up sharing the carrying and it does get hung on my son's chair as well.

Thank you again for your reply... we really appreciate it! DH and I are really leaning towards using this bag - hopefully we can find it in blue do DH doesn't have to tote the pink bag around!

Similar but without the cell phone holder. The side pocket is good for perhaps an eyeglass case but not really big enough for a water bottle.

I see you live in CT, I am a merchandiser for Hallmark in CT and can tell you that none of my stores carry the Croc Sling Bag, even the locations that carry Crocs. However, since I don't work all HMs in CT, I would suggest calling a few of your local ones.

There is a Croc store in the Clinton Outlets. I don't remember seeing the sling bag on my recent trip there but it is worth a call.

Last year when I was at DW I saw someone with this bag. I asked her where she got it, she told me you "couldn't get them anymore" - I checked EVERYWHERE and found she was right. But, on ebags, there was an option to "notify me when one was available" - so I put in my email address.

Lo and behold 2 weeks ago I get an email tha they are back in stock with limited supply! I got the blue one!

So maybe try and add your name, they WILL email you. I had totally forgotten about this bag and was so excited to get the email! 10 month later! (they are out of stock again but perhaps because of high demand they'll be back)

Wow - that is so great to hear!! I just went to the ebags site, but I can't get the bag to come up at all. I did find it on shoebuy.com with the notify option, so I put my email in. We actually also tried to order from the website I originally posted - and we received a call that the only color they have available is the pink.... he said they no longer make this bag. So, the hunt continues...

Well yesterday I called the Crocs Outlet, and they don't carry them. I went to ebags and asked them to notify me when the bag comes in (kind of a long shot but gave it a whirl). We then went to Dicks Sporting Goods, Modells Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Hallmark Stores, Walmart, Marshalls, TJMaxx all in the hunt for the Crocs bag or a similar style sling backpack. At our last store (TJMaxx) we found a black Baggallini Messenger bag for $20!!! So, we did buy it (because I am a diser and that's what I would have been advised to do..) but we are still not sold on the bag. DH still prefers the Crocs bag for comfort over the Baggallini. Luckily we have several months before our trip to keep looking....
