Anyone ever use Mears to get to Universal?

My DS and his DGF will be going to Islands of Adventure from Pop Century when they are there in January. Has anything ever used the Mears shuttle to get there/back? If the park opens at 9PM, would they be better off taking the bus that pick them up about 7:15AM or does the 8:15AM bus give them enough time to get there for park opening? I imagine they don't want to get up any earlier than they have to, but I know they'll be excited to get to WWOHP!

We did this last week, from BWVs. They picked us up at 7:25, we got to US/IoA by 8:00ish. When we were walking to our hotel, RPR, there were very few people around. I have taken the 8:25 bus and it got me to the parks just about opening time.
