Anyone ever use an online mortgage company?

Hi all.....

DH and I are trying to purchase a home and are trying to find the lowest rates possible with 0-1 points. I used MonsterMoving.com and was able to get a list which compared many mortgage companies' rates. Some are licensed in my state (NH), but actually reside in another state. Has anyone every used an out-of-state or online mortgage company? Any comments, suggestions or recommendations?

and went through Lending Tree.com. We had 4 other mortgage institutions / banks get back to us with rates / fees etc. We are going through Wachovia, which is based out of NC. We live in NJ. Our first mortgage was with ABN AMRO out of the mid west somewhere. I don't think it matters what state the mortgage company is from. You may want to ask your attorney though. Good Luck!
