Anyone Ever Try a "Progressive" Dinner at EPCOT?

I'm thinking on our EPCOT day to maybe make PS at one restaurant for appitizers/drinks only, another for the main course, and yet another for desert. Anyone ever try this...I'm not sure how accomodating the CM booking the PS might be. :confused3

Unless things have changed - they will not allow you to have more than one reservation at a time. Your best bet is to make one for dinner then use the snack areas to get appetizers, cocktails and desserts.

The only way you could make these reservations is to make them in three different calls. You'd have to make each one using a different phone number (home, hubby cell, wife cell). Otherwise, the system will match the ADRs up to the single guest & cancel them. I'm not telling you this to cheat the system so you can make three ADRs for dinner & then pick the one you want. This kind of thing should really ONLY be done if you plan to do what you're suggesting: appetizers, entree & desserts. You may even find that after dinner you're too stuffed for dessert. If so, cancel the dessert ASAP so someone else might get a walk up!

The only time I used a separate number was making a CP beakfast reservation before I cancelled our 1900 PF ADR. I had to talk to my friend to find out for sure which one she wanted. I cancelled the 1900 PF ressie the next morning when she picked CP. That's how I know this works!

I was allowed to have 2 reservations one night about 30 min apart. We initially had reservations for Coral Reef but I wanted to change it to Chefs and when I called to cancel CR and make my new ADR the CM said I should keep my CR reservations in addition to my new one until Chefs had been confirmed as part of the 2009 plan. I had read here that if you make two for the same night they'll cancel them both and I said that to her and she said it was no problem to have two. Good luck! I hope it works for you.

Thank you for saying this, I wish more people would be courteous like you. :thumbsup2

I think it sounds fun! I would go for it! What a creaive way to experience several of the restaurants

That sounds like a great idea. I think it would be a blast and a great way to try different things.

The only glitch in this plan, if you can get the ADR's is you usually wait 10-30min. for your table. It could be even longer during free dining. You could waste anywhere from 30min to over an hour waiting for your table. IMHO that kills the idea for me. We have waited over 45min. for an ADR, but that was for a table for 6.

I like the suggestion of using the snack/counter service areas for the appetizer/drink and the dessert courses. You could start with drinks at the Slushie counter at France, then go somewhere else for the app, then to a prearranged reservation for the entree, then back to France for dessert.

I also think you'd have better luck doing at least some of the courses at CS places. There are lots of yummy options in the World Showcase, and it will prevent you from having to wait for a table and all that.

Just to experience some different places. We are "foodies", and love to try new things...have you ever noticed how you like the entree on one menu...but another location has a "to die for" dessert? This way you can eat, walk a round a bit, and then sit down and have your cake too! :cool1:

yeah, f&w festival is the best! One other thing we've done is order 1 or two small meals for all of us *2 ad.2kids*, then wait for two-3 hours, then go to another restaurant and order another 1 or two meals. We love international foods and we like to taste different things. It helps that our kids are willing to try almost anything once!

Whatever trips your trigger, and the longer your moving from place to place to place to eat, the less rides you will go on, so all the better to me.

Someone recently posted about the same thing and for the life of me Ican't remember who :confused3

They wanted to do a prgressive for their bday. They wanted to start in the afternoon and hit a few places.

Hopefully they will see this and come post about their experience
