i only ask because i have a couple of friends in the program right now. I use to be, but was terminated. not for drinking or drugs. not for being late. One of there roommates said he was terminated before, but they let him do the internship again. and he was termed for drinking. so, considering what I did was no where near as bad. i though i might have another chance. after all, its a great city, and a great environment to work, a non stop party, i loved it. so i did a phone interview. it went well, so i will find out in a couple of weeks.

It all is based on your no rehire status. It is standard pratice that most people will have a 6 month or greater no rehire status if you leave or get terminated from the College Program. after that time has passed you can try to get rehired again.

But of course it is always a case by case basis

thanks, that helps alot. I worked at epcot at innoventions. We had a computer in the back of the UL lab. the most easist cp job. every 30min you would have to go backstage and enter in how many guests had walked in the attraction. We used a program similar to excel. On the computer i changed my name from steven to i think stevo or something like that. My cp friends did as well, its as easy as right clicking. Well, 2 weeks later i was termenated for tamporing with company computers. like i hacked into the mainframe! lol. here i was a good cp, didnt drink and do drugs like the rest of my cp's. didnt sneak from apartment complex to another. and i get terminated for right clicking. lol. but, i do love disney. i had a great time while I was there. and i would reccomend the program to anyone who is in college. i should know if i get accepted for the fall program within the week. but, who knows they may have me down as getting termed for hacking into a computer, right click! :surfweb:

A friend of mine was termed near the end of our program for a guest confrontation. He applied, and was accepted, to do another CP 2 1/2 years later.

well, i found out yesterday that you can be rehired after being terminated from the college program. lol. i did not have to fill out any additional forms or anything. going back at the end of august. i assure you i will be on my toes this time around. lol

Wow, is it really that easy to get terminated? I'll be starting in August doing merchendice. Also, is it good to bring your car? Cuz I live in MA and I don't want ot have to drive all that way. But, if it's good to have a car then I might.

thanks.

Yeah it is you really have to be on your toes. What I had heard about being terminated for something small like that was you had to wait six months then you could reapply for any possition. But if you are termed for drug possestion or starting a fight with a guest then you cannot reapply for like ten years or something like that. I once was talking to the guy who made it so all the sexual harrassment stuff is everywhere. Well he messed the rides up so bad that they could not get some stared so he got termed. Well his termination got so much attention that the then president of wdw talked to him to ask why he did what he did. To make a long story short he got rehired three years latter and is still with the company. But this is one of those things that was taken on a case by case basis. Just be careful were you tread and what you say. My freind and I have a list called what not to say to managment. Well got to go to work.

the first internship i didnt have a car but got around ok. i would prefer to have a car though. cause you have to give yourself 1 hour before work to get to work, visa ve the busses. plus its nice to have a car if you want to go buy groceries or go to the beach. bring a car. you wont regret it. :moped:

thanks for the info. Not that I plan on saying the wrong thing to my superiors, but what's that list of things not to say?
Also, I've read the dress code rules, but what's good to wear so I won't get in trouble? I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but I'm new to this and I want to get it right. Well, thanks. :wizard: princess:

I had my car w/ me and I was soooooooo happy that I did b/c it meant that when I needed to get away I can and didn't have to worry about roommates and did things on my own which I was grateful for

if your talking about the onstage dress code it looks like somethings out of the 70's. the off stage or class dress code is what i think your talking about. i didn't do the classes, so im not sure. but, its not strict. there is no dress code if your not working. but i think you have to dress business casual for the classes. just dont wear a mini skirt and a tube top ok.

As for dressing, Check out the "Disney Look " tab on the offical website. This will explain what you can and can not wear for work, when you are not "in costume". What you need to wear while you are at your work location you will find out when you get to Florida as every location has slightly diffrent rules (some have white shoes, some have black, some places you can only wear white undershirts etc).

As for when you are not working, you can wear whatever you want. (Just be mindful of the families at the park with your dress tastes)

Overall with anything... just use common sense and you should do fine.
