Anyone ever take the train?

Our friend won't fly and will be taking Amtrak for our April trip ( we're flying), what is the best way for him to get to POR from either the Orlando or the Kissimmee train station?

The best thing would be to book a towncar to meet them at the train station. We used Tiffany Towncar and were very happy with them. They met us at the Orlando Train station. They follow the schedule of the train so know if it will be arriving late or not. I don't know if they pick up at Kissimmee; you'd have to call and ask about that.

We use Amtrak all the time but get off in Kissimmee, alot less people, less hassle, closer to WDW. We use the stand cabs, costs us 38.00 one way plus tip, usually.

I also gor off at the Kissemmee tation. I agree with what pepe said. It is great especially when you return home. Just a few people , it is also the stop b4 orlando (on the way home). We go on the train. picked out seats, got oraganzed. When we arrived at Orlando, there were lines of people to get on and they filled up the train. I would def use the kissemmee station.
I arranged for Sunray to pick us up. he was there when we arrived.
