Anyone ever stayed at the Fairfield Inn in California??

I know this is under the WDW section but there isn't a Canadians thread in the DL section. I'm just wondering if anyone has stayed there and what were your likes/dislikes about this hotel. I'm taking my two kids (3) & (2) there at the end of May. We are going to be driving 30 hours to get there so once we are there we want to spend as little time in the car as possible and that hotel is right across the street.

I really liked the hotel for the price that I paid. It's really close to DL, and there are enough restaurants close by.

Dislikes- like all hotels in the area, it's a little dated and the rooms are small. The pool area is also small and gets very crowed in the afternoon.

Of all the hotels I stayed at around the DL area, it's been the best!

One of my friends are down there staying at this hotel and should have a trip report in a few days. He booked it by expedia instead of the travel agent as he was able to get a better rate that them.

I should be able to update you when they get back.

I am booked into Ho Jo's for xmas, I considered this but i couldn't wait till he got back.

We liked it! For the location and convenience it can't be beat! Yes the pool and hottub are by no means above and beyond but for a basic bed to crash in and a quick rest/swim break in the middle of the day is not a problem as it's such a quick walk from DL. THe mcdonalds right in front of it made for easy breakfasts on the walk to DL.

Haven't stayed at the Fairfield, but the Sheraton is horrible. It's a tudor-style building - I'm pretty sure it was a Sheraton. Terrible!

I'm actualy staying there for my trip this week I'll let you know how it is. I was told by the staff there that the rooms were recently renovated.
